(Networld Boston, February 1992) - KeyLogic, Inc. announces release 2.6 of LANBatch for Novell networks. LANBatch is a mainframe-style batch processing system for distributing and scheduling batch jobs on Local Area Networks. Version 2.6 adds enhanced Novell security (jobs run on behalf of users with their access rights only), increased scheduling capabilities, automatic setup of full user drive mappings during job execution, reduced memory overhead, and other new features. LANBatch allows users to submit batch jobs to other PCs on the network without ever leaving their desk. One or more PCs can be set up as Batch Servers at any time.
